The British School of Monaco Online adopts an open approach to accepting students from different races and ethnicities to achieve fairness, equality and transparency. The British School of Monaco admits students with mild to moderate special education needs, chronic health conditions, disability and offers additional appropriate support as required or needed. However, the British School of Monaco ensures that any acceptance of students requiring additional support is mindful of the following considerations:
- The student in question can be responsibly provided for by the school
- The school is able to meet the individual needs of the student in question
- Any additional support required can be reasonably accommodated
The British School of Monaco will not accept any financial inducement, or reward of any kind, offered in direct connection to the admission of a student to the school.
The British School of Monaco will have a maximum number of sixteen students for each class.
The British School of Monaco will apply admission priorities if there are more requests for places than available places, as follows:
- Students who attended the school in the previous year or period.
- Students with siblings already in the school.
- Students who live in Monaco.
Registration
The British School of Monaco will officially register a student once the student meets the admission requirements and conditions.
The British School of Monaco may register students at any time of the year at its discretion, subject to space availability and provided that the school satisfies itself that the student is capable of keeping up with those in the same peer group and can successfully pass the academic year.
Placement of Students
Students will be placed in school years according to their age and year group progression. Without exception, the school strictly follows the UK system of age and year group as below:
